DBHIDS celebrates the accomplishments of those who have committed their careers to support people with an intellectual disability and/or autism. The motto is , “It's All About Community!” The people we nominate are models of excellence, compassion, commitment, growth, and achievement.
Claudia works with the individuals and staff at SPIN, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1970 to provide the highest quality services to people of all ages with autism and intellectual/developmental disability. Claudia provides nutrition counseling to individuals, hosts monthly 'lunch and learn' lectures on various nutrition topics, develops menus and recipes for individuals with various health concerns and diet restrictions, and provides one-on-one nutrition counseling for individuals.
